Why Singapore?

Singapore is home to two consistently top-10 globally ranked universities — the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) — as well as specialist institutions in business, design, and social sciences. As a global financial and technology hub, Singapore offers graduates immediate access to one of Asia's most dynamic job markets, with regional headquarters of major multinationals across finance, tech, logistics, and biomedical sectors.

Cost of living

SGD 1,800–3,000/month including accommodation.

Post-study work pathway

International students on a valid student pass may work up to 16 hours per week during term time. Singapore does not currently operate a dedicated post-study work visa; graduates must secure employer sponsorship to remain long-term.

Admissions

A bachelor's degree with strong academic results, IELTS 6.5–7.0 depending on program, and a complete program application. NUS and NTU are highly selective for international graduate programs.

Scholarships

NUS and NTU offer merit scholarships for outstanding international graduate students. Singapore government scholarships are available for select nationalities. Research assistantships support most PhD candidates.
