Why Spain?

Spain hosts globally recognised business schools — IE Business School and ESADE — alongside strong public universities including the University of Barcelona and Complutense University of Madrid. Public university tuition is among the most affordable in Europe. Barcelona and Madrid have growing technology and startup ecosystems, and Spanish language proficiency significantly expands career options across Latin America and Spain's large domestic market.

Cost of living

EUR 900–1,500/month; lower in smaller cities like Valencia, Seville, or Granada.

Post-study work pathway

International graduates can apply for a 1-year job seeker visa after completing a Spanish university degree. The digital nomad visa and entrepreneur visa are also available to qualifying graduates.

Admissions

A bachelor's degree, IELTS 6.0 for English-taught programs (more common at private institutions), and basic Spanish may be required at public universities. IE and ESADE have their own selective admission processes.

Scholarships

Spanish government scholarships for non-EU students are limited. University-specific grants exist at leading private business schools. The Erasmus+ programme is not available to non-EU incoming students.
