All India Senior School Certificate – awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects* in final year and and overall First Division results; or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects* in final year and overall First Division results; or State board exams, other than Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB), with a minimum grade average of 65% average across the 4 best academic subjects* in the final year and overall First Division results; or Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB) exams, with a minimum grade average of 70% average across the 4 best academic subjects* in the final year and overall, First Division results *Results in the following subjects/subject areas will not be considered as part of the 4 best academic subjects: All languages other than English Visual, performing and fine arts Physical and health education Home science General studies Work education Any internally examined subjects
